Summary of a typical event…Teams or individuals each manage a portfolio of Company Shares, Gold and US Dollars. Shortly before the Trading Floor opens each syndicate receives a portfolio pack containing company background notes, rules and information, role badges and £30,000 in Fun Money.

After a brief introduction, teams are given around 10 minutes to digest information, discuss and plan their strategy. Share prices are displayed PC monitors in the ‘Share Shop’ and are constantly updated for the ten companies which are floated in the game, as are prices for Gold and US$. Split second decisions need to be made to avoid potentially huge losses, the skill is deciding which shares to buy or sell and timing those transactions to maximise profit!

The game runs over 5 fictitious days of world events. The Finance Daily News is distributed at the start of each day and the Lunchtime Business News is shown each day on the TV or video screen. Beware of 'off the record' information gleaned on the Trading Floor - it may not be as hot as you think! Newsflashes are notified on our digital display system. As the close of business approaches on each 'day' last minute frantic trading takes place right up to the buzzer sounding. Friday is the last day of the 'week' and fortunes may change dramatically during the final trading periods.

The game normally lasts for 90 minutes, but this can be increased or reduced to suit your requirements. At the end of the final day of trading all Fun Money and share certificates are totalled with prizes awarded for the winners.
